Hi-Spec Offices, Mann Island, Liverpool

Recently completed, Mann Island is one of three modern buildings located on the waterfront between the Port of Liverpool Building and the Albert Dock.

This 13 story office development, fully fitted out for a major Merseyside organisation, was installed on behalf of the mechanical contractor Smith Group UK Ltd.

26 No Mitsubishi Electric R2 heat recovery system’s and 390 Fan Coil’s were installed throughout comprising of 2 No R2 systems per floor with an average of 30 ceiling concealed ducted fan coils per floor. Additionally, 2 No Mitsubishi Electric ‘Y’ series heat pump systems were installed to provide slave/master control of the buildings comm’s rooms.

All areas were completed on time and on budget.

The project installation value was £354,000.00.

Energy giant re-location to Concorde Business Park

Recently to be completed, Energy giant Shell UK has taken letting of 30,000 sq ft of Office Space in Manchester. The oil giant is to relocate from another site in Wythenshawe to Brabazon House, Concorde Business Park, Wythenshawe, Manchester. The site near Manchester Airport comprises of 124,000 sq ft over five buildings and is also the home of Serco, Trevor Jones Accountant’s and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Uk.

The Offices have undergone a full bare bones refurbishment by Main Contractor Overbury, the Fit Out and Refurbishment Specialist based in Manchester, who won the contract to refurbish the new headquarters.

This two story office facility, fully fitted out to Shell UK’s Specifications, was installed on behalf of leading Mechanical & Electrical Services Contractor Michael J Lonsdale of Slough, Berkshire.

The Building was installed throughout with Sanyo VRF Heat Recovery Systems which are used to heat the building in winter and cool in the summer. A fully intelligent centralised control system ensures carbon emissions are constantly monitored whilst maintaining optimum comfort conditions.

Controlled Air Solutions

Controlled Air Solutions fully Installed & Commissioned the 4 No Sanyo VRF Heat Recovery Systems comprising of Eighty Ceiling Concealed Ducted Fan Coil’s installed throughout the building. Additionally 4 No Sanyo VRF Heat Pump Systems were installed to provide DX Cooling to the Main Office Supply, Restaurant & Kitchen Supply Air Handling Units. A further Sanyo Twin System was Installed to provide Heating & Cooling to the Atrium Entrance & Reception.

Controlled Air Solutions also fully Installed & Commissioned the project ahead of the building’s completion for advanced client handover. The Building’s MER Computer Room is served by 2 UNIFLAIR Close Control Down Flow Systems interconnected to 2 No External Air Cooled Condenser’s and the Building’s SER Computer Room is served by 2 Sanyo Wall Mounted Split Systems.

All areas were completed on time and on budget.

The project installation value was £98,000.00.
